Mid-Afternoon at the Beach

My favorite time at the beach is mid afternoon, just after the littlest kids have been brought home for naps and just before the rowdier teens show up.

I love how the tidal pools are filled with things that are easily found and captured - of course we always release them, but it is great for the kids to be able to see such a wide array of things.

    This looks like fun. What were you using to look at the creatures? We live near the beach and would love something like that. ;)

    I got this a while back at a nature store, it is actually a pond and tadpole box but it works fabulously for all sorts of nature exploration. They can be hard to find but if you have a small local toy store, that would be a good spot to try. Here is the only link I could find for one on amazon.

    It works great because it has the scooper, which also has a magnifier!

Hi - Thanks for wanting to share your ideas & comments! I love hearing what others have to say, but just so that everyone is aware, I have the right and option to decide to post a comment or not. Foul language, inappropriate comments, lashing out at the world, or posting irrelevant ad links are a few reasons why posts may be rejected. My daughter & her friends like to frequently see what is being posted so therefore I would like to keep it clean.
I also have a tendency to reject "Anonymous" posts as I feel the content is not verifiable, therefore is often either irrelevant or not viable.
